Jewelry Care

Take care of your jewelry and it will shine for years. While every piece of jewelry looks beautiful, they can end up looking faded and may lose their shine if not cared for well. If you want your jewelry to look as good as new, then you need to take good care of it. Follow these simple steps to take care of your jewelry:
1. Always sort out your jewelry
Sort out your jewelry whether it is imitation, pearl, gold, and silver so that you can use different methods for cleaning them. Place them separately - not jumbled together. If possible, separate gold and all other jewels from each other. Keep pearls especially in a different bag or box. Make sure that pearls' container is not too dry or airtight (they can get damaged).
2. Store your jewelry in zip or drawstring purses.
Ensure that they of soft cloth like chintz, velvet or cotton. Avoid linen, net, georgette and jersey. This is the best way to protect your jewelry from external elements. If not, you can also put them in wooden boxes, their walls lined with foam and lay them on soft cotton wool. Additionally throw in a silica gel sach to absorb the moisture if any.
3. Regularly polish your Jewelry and you can do it at home.
A regular good quality transparent nail polish will do the trick. You can coat your jewelry once a month and this will ensure they shine every time you wear them.
4.Gemstone jewelry needs to be taken extra care.
You can do this by cleaning it with a soft brush and mild soapy water. You may also clean these items using jewelry cleaning solution.
5. Try not to expose your jewelry to everyday chemicals.
This includes hair products, cosmetics, perfumes, or direct sunlight, as they are likely to damage them. Keep them away from vinegar, lemon and acidic foods as well.

Hi! I'm Akanksha, founder of Bauble Love.

One of the greatest gifts my mother gave me was teaching me that kindness matters above everything else. Before I could even walk, she placed a tiny chick into my six-month-old hands. It may have seemed like a simple moment, but it quietly shaped the person I would become.

From that day on, animals were never just animals to me—they were friends, teachers, and family. Growing up, I dreamed of becoming the Steve Irwin of India. I learned to handle snakes, worked as a veterinary assistant, rescued eagles and vultures, and pursued a degree in zoology, believing my life would always revolve around wildlife.

Life, however, had a different path in store.

That path led me to Bauble Love. While it may seem far removed from the world of animal rescue, my purpose has never really changed. The love and compassion that first bloomed in my heart all those years ago have only grown stronger.

I still dream of one day returning to formally pursue my passion for wildlife and conservation. Until then, I pour my heart into our Stray Project—because every animal deserves kindness, safety, and someone who chooses to care.

In many ways, Bauble Love isn't separate from my love for animals. It's simply another chapter in the same story—one that began with a tiny chick in the hands of a six-month-old girl and continues with the hope

Daily food 300+ strays

Alongside a small group of like-minded animal lovers, I help feed over 300 stray dogs and cats across Koramangala, Ejipura, and HSR Layout in Bengaluru every single day. We provide a nourishing mix of kibble and wet food, ensuring they receive not just a meal, but a little comfort and care.

A portion of every contribution you choose to make—one that I match 2X—goes directly toward purchasing kibble, wet food, and specialized diets for our senior and medically vulnerable strays, who need a little extra care to live healthy, dignified lives.

There is something profoundly beautiful about caring for those who can never repay you. To love without expecting anything in return is perhaps the purest expression of compassion—and every meal shared is a quiet reminder that kindness has the power to change a life.

While I feed 60+ strays in my area, I also invest in quality health care in collaboration with doctors at cartman, bangalore pet hospital and My Pet's Choice.

Elementary care such as vaccination for puppies, yearly 9 in 1 vaccination, immediate hospitilization and others are taken care of.

Additionally partner with visitings vets to make a ensure our dogs in ejipiura and HSR receive basic check up and any emergency care as and when needed.

Since 2017, rescue and rehabilitation have been at the heart of everything I do.

Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to help countless stray dogs and cats find a second chance at life. From rescuing Chiu, a one-week-old puppy abandoned in a garbage dump in Koramangala, to finding a loving forever home in Goa for Jhumroo, a three-month-old acid attack survivor, every rescue has left an imprint on my heart.

There are countless stories—of animals pulled from impossible situations, nursed back to health, taught to trust again, and finally given the love and security they always deserved. Each one is a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can change the course of a life.

Rescue isn't always easy. It demands time, patience, resilience, and more heartbreak than words can describe. But watching an animal who once knew only fear learn to wag its tail again, to play, to trust, and to belong—that feeling is beyond rewarding. It is, without question, the greatest privilege of my life.
