AND THE DOG WHO STARTED IT ALL
Hi ! My name is Akanksha and I am the founder at Bauble Love. My mother stressed on the importance of teaching a child kindness before anything else and so I was introduced to a bunch of young chicks (chicken babies) at 6 months old and the rest is history. I have loved animals all my life so much so that I wanted to be the Steve Irwin of India. I learned how to handle snakes, became a vet's assistant, rescued eagles and vultures and even went on to pursue a degree in zooology.
However life had other plans and here I am today with Bauble Love but my love has only grown. I do look forward to going back to pursue my passion some day, but for now I will live it through the stray project.
WHAT WE DO -
Daily Food for 300+ strays
Me and a group of like minded fellow animals lovers feed a mix of kibbles - wet food to 300+ strays in Koramangala, Ejipura HSR in Bangalore.
A chunk of your contrinution that you choose to make (and that I will match 2X of) goes towards buying kibble (dry food) and special diet requirement food for our geriatric strays.
To serve those who can never do anything for us in return is the truest form of selfless love known to this world.
WHAT WE DO
MEDICAL CARE - VET
While I feed 60+ strays in my area, I also invest in quality health care in collaboration with doctors at cartman, bangalore pet hospital and My Pet's Choice.
Elementary care such as vaccination for puppies, yearly 9 in 1 vaccination, immediate hospitilization and others are taken care of.
Additionally partner with visitings vets to make a ensure our dogs in ejipiura and HSR receive basic check up and any emergency care as and when needed.
WHAT WE DO -
RESCUE AND REHABILITATION
I have been involved in recue and rehabilitation for stray dogs and cats alike since 2017. This involves recusing Chiu ( a one week old pup) from garabge dump in koramangala to re-homing jhumroo an acid attack survivor 3 month old puppy with his new family in Goa.
I have endless stories to share of how I have resuced dogs from the most difficult circumstances and gave them another shot at life. There is nothing more rewarding than this.
